OK, I'll say it -- however grudgingly.
Three cheers for Typepad.
It's no secret that I've been terribly dissatisfied with their services of late, but they actually seem to have "un-fucked" themselves. Posting today was as easy as it was in '06, when I started. The new editor works like a charm, and I think that "old spark" is beginning to rekindle.
I began blogging three years ago, when a friend bought me a TypePad account. Granted, it was an "arranged marriage" of sorts, but when I finally saw the "bride," it was love at first sight. TypePad was quick, easy, convenient, and superior to MySpace, Blogspot, etc. in countless ways.
By late 2007, the relationship had soured, and by '08, I blogged seldom -- if at all. Departing from the time-honored KISS ("Keep it simple, stupid) and "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophies, TypePad had added all manner of unnecessary "bells and whistles," becoming decidedly "user unfriendly" in the process.
Well, I'm happy to say that all that's changed; and that I'm once again a satisfied customer.
Good work, TypePad. Here's to your health. (((Clink.)))
