My latest bit of Manga cheesecake (practice session #13 -- today). Ink and colored pencil on Bristol paper -- and my first attempt at coloring a full-sheet (11" x 14") figure.
Although I love the variety of colors in the Crayola 50-pack, I find that pencils leave something to be desired in terms of coloring evenly. I understand that classic Manga artists used watercolors, and I think I'll try them next.
I think I'm finally getting the hang of this.
In other news, I'm putting the finishing touches on book #3. Unlike our previous anthologies, this one consists entirely of my own work -- short fiction, of course. I don't think I'm cut out to be a novelist.
Since the spousal unit's been busting my balls about getting off my dead ass and writing something, and since I've had heavy-duty insomnia since April, I thought I'd kill two harpies birds with one stone and finish the book. Hopefully, we'll have it in print by March or April of 2015.
